Made-to-order items are always available for purchase; however, their production and processing times vary depending on complexity and current workload.

While every effort is made to provide accurate descriptions and photos, natural variations of wood, lighting, and monitor settings may cause minor differences between product images and the final item. These differences do not constitute a defect.

If a ready-made item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, the customer will be notified and offered:

a new production timeline (if applicable),

a suitable alternative (with approval), or

a full refund.

2.4. Prices and Errors


All prices are shown in EUR (€).

In the event of a technical, typographical, or system error — including incorrect pricing or calculation mistakes — the seller reserves the right to:

2.5. Right to Refuse or Cancel an Order

If an order is cancelled by the seller before production or shipment, the customer will receive a full refund.

3. Ordering & Processing

Orders placed through this online store are confirmed automatically by email.

A binding purchase agreement is created once the customer receives an order confirmation.


3.1. Handmade Production and Processing Time

Most products are made by hand and require individual preparation.

Standard processing times are:

Handmade or customized items:

3–10 business days, depending on complexity

If an order requires additional time (for example, due to customization or material availability), the customer will be notified by email.


3.2. Customized and Personalized Orders

For items that include engraving, personalization, or custom specifications:

production begins only after full payment is received;the customer must provide all required details (names, dates, text, fonts, design preferences);the seller may contact the customer to clarify details before production.

Customers are responsible for verifying that all customization details are correct before confirming the order.


3.3. Order Changes

Changes to an order (including personalization details, quantity, or delivery address) may be made only before production has started.

Once production has begun, changes are no longer possible.


3.4. Order Cancellation

Orders may be cancelled only under the following conditions:

Standard items:

before shipment.

Customized items:

before production begins. Once customization or preparation has started, the order cannot be cancelled.

If the order is eligible for cancellation, the customer will receive a full refund within 7 business days.


3.5. Out-of-Stock Situations

If a product or material is unavailable after the order is placed:

the customer will be informed immediately;the order may be postponed, substituted (with customer approval), or refunded in full.


3.6. Incorrect or Incomplete Information

The seller is not responsible for delays or delivery failures caused by:

incorrect shipping address;missing contact details;failed delivery attempts due to customer unavailability.

If the package is returned due to customer error, reshipping costs must be paid by the customer.


3.7. Order Verification and Fraud Prevention

For security reasons, the seller reserves the right to:

request additional information to verify the order;cancel an order if fraudulent activity is suspected;refuse service in exceptional cases where the transaction cannot be safely completed.


4. Prices & Payment

All prices in this online store are shown in EUR (€).

Prices include VAT, where applicable, in accordance with Latvian and EU tax regulations.

If a pricing or system error occurs — including technical mistakes, incorrect currency conversion, or a typographical error — the seller reserves the right to:

Bank transfer (offline payment):

5. Shipping & Delivery

Lateja Group ships orders to local and international destinations using reliable delivery partners.

By placing an order, the customer agrees to the shipping terms outlined below.


5.1. Shipping Methods

Available delivery options are shown at checkout and may include:

parcel lockers (e.g., Omniva, DPD),

courier delivery,

postal service (for international shipments).

The customer selects the preferred delivery method during checkout.

Available options may vary depending on the destination country.


5.2. Processing Time

Processing time is separate from shipping time.

Ready-made items: 1–3 business days

Handmade / made-to-order items: 3–10 business days (or as specified in the product description)

Orders are shipped only after production is completed and full payment is received.


5.3. Delivery Time

Estimated delivery times may be displayed at checkout, depending on the selected carrier and the availability of this feature. When provided, these delivery times are approximate and can vary based on the destination country, chosen delivery method, and the carrier’s workload (especially during peak seasons). These estimates are not guaranteed.


5.4. Tracking

Most shipments include a tracking number.

Tracking information is sent by email as soon as the order is dispatched.

The customer is responsible for monitoring the shipment and collecting the parcel within the carrier’s storage period.


5.5. Incorrect Addresses and Delivery Failures

The customer must provide a complete and accurate delivery address.

The seller is not responsible for:

delays caused by incomplete or incorrect address information,

failed delivery attempts when the customer is unavailable,

parcels returned due to failure to collect them from a parcel locker or post office.

If a package is returned to the seller due to customer error, reshipping costs must be paid by the customer.


5.6. Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Shipments

Ownership of the goods transfers to the customer once the shipment is accepted by the carrier.

If a parcel is delayed, misrouted, or marked as delivered but not received, the customer must contact the delivery provider and follow their investigation procedure.

The seller will assist where possible but cannot issue refunds until the carrier’s investigation is completed.


5.7. Damaged Shipments

If the item arrives damaged:

the customer must report the damage within 24–48 hours of delivery,

photos of the packaging, labels, and damaged product must be provided.

This timeframe is required because carriers do not accept claims for damage reported later.

Depending on the case, the customer may receive:

a replacement,

a repair (if applicable), or

a refund, in accordance with consumer protection laws.


5.8. International Deliveries

For shipments outside the customer’s home country:

customs fees, import duties, and taxes (if applicable) are the responsibility of the customer,

customs processing may extend delivery time.

These charges are not included in product or shipping prices.


5.9. Delivery Completion

A shipment is considered successfully delivered when:

the carrier marks the parcel as “Delivered”,

or the customer collects the parcel from a parcel locker or post office.

Once delivered, the seller is not responsible for loss, theft, or uncollected parcels.

6. Returns & Refunds

Lateja Group follows EU consumer protection regulations, including Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights.

The terms below apply to all returns, withdrawals, and refunds.


6.1. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Return Policy)

Customers have the right to withdraw from a purchase and return standard, non-customized goods within 14 days after receiving the order, without giving any reason.

The item must be returned in:

unused and undamaged,

preferably in its original packaging,

6.2. Exceptions: Customized and Personalized Items

This includes (but is not limited to):

engraved items,

personalized products,

custom-made dimensions, designs, or special finishes,

any item produced specifically for the customer.

Such items cannot be returned or refunded, unless they are defective.


6.3. Defective, Incorrect, or Non-Conforming Items

If the product is defective, damaged (not due to transport), or does not match the description:

the customer must contact the seller as soon as the issue is discovered,

provide the order number and photos of the problem.

Depending on the case, the customer is entitled to:

repair,

replacement,

price reduction,

or a refund.

These rights follow EU consumer protection standards.


6.4. Return Shipping Costs

If the product is returned due to a change of mind, the customer pays all return shipping costs.

7. Warranty

All products sold by Lateja Group are covered by the 2-year legal guarantee of conformity under EU Directive 2019/771.

This guarantee applies to defects that existed at the time of delivery or become apparent during normal use.


7.1. Scope of the Guarantee

The legal guarantee covers:

defects in materials or workmanship,

functional issues that prevent normal use,

discrepancies between the product and its agreed description.

If a defect appears within 12 months of delivery, it is presumed to have existed at the time of purchase, unless proven otherwise.

After 12 months, the customer may be asked to provide reasonable evidence that the defect was present from the start.


7.2. Customer Rights Under the Guarantee

If a product does not conform to the contract, the customer is entitled to:

repair of the item, or

replacement with an identical or equivalent product.

If repair or replacement is:

impossible,

or would cause significant inconvenience,

7.5. Handmade and Natural Material Characteristics

Products made from natural wood are handcrafted, and each piece is unique.

Variations in shape, texture, engraving depth, and natural wood pattern are normal and do not indicate a defect.

These characteristics do not affect product functionality and are not covered by the guarantee.


7.6. Effect of Warranty Repairs

Repair or replacement under this guarantee does not extend or restart the original 2-year warranty period—this follows EU rules.


7.7. When the Guarantee Does Not Apply

If the warranty claim is rejected (e.g., due to misuse, environmental damage, or non-conformity with care instructions), the seller may offer paid repair options when possible.
